The Facilities Services Tech – Maintenance, reports to the Facilities Manager and will perform routine, well-defined Corporate Services Support or Facilities Maintenance functions for the Home OfficeThis role is responsible for supporting departmental projects and programs involving the assigned specialty area(s), and strategic initiatives 

 

Location:

The successful candidate will work at our Home Office in Enumclaw, WA (Must live within driving distance of our Home Office).

 

Hiring Range: $25.40 - $28.82*

Salary Range: $25.40 - $33.30

Responsibilities

  • Provide general building and facility maintenance for MoE facilities, and perform internal customer service functions for the Home Office facility and Field Offices 
  • Handle a variety of maintenance tasks including warehousing, shipping/receiving, vehicle fleet, equipment maintenance, grounds-keeping, and/or associated Facilities Services assignments.   
  • Provide support for assigned Services projects, basic carpentry and repairs to electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, and other systems, and ongoing maintenance tasks/support services.  
  • Support events by setting up furniture and technical equipment as needed.  
  • Establish and maintain maintenance records, documentation, and departmental office systems as assigned. 
  • Provide effective Home Office support services on an ongoing basis, and perform assigned projects for Field Office locations as directed. 
  • Provide on-call 24/7 support services (except by special arrangement) to respond to urgent calls. 
  • Reconfigure conference/training rooms, setting up equipment (i.e. TV, VCR, etc.) as required by the user. 
  • Provide emergency response services including fire suppression and structural evaluation. 
  • Apply knowledge of basic carpentry and repairs, hand tools, and power tools in support of building maintenance.  
  • Maintain electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, and other systems 
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of outside contractors and vendors as assigned.  
  • Assist in the installation of systems furniture and modify furniture to ensure the ergonomic comfort of employees, as requested. 
  • Administer Maintenance Work Orders and Calendar of Events items to ensure all items are completed properly and on schedule. 
  • Provide building support services for Computer and Phone Lines. 
  • Check buildings both inside and out for areas that need repair or paintingEnsure that warehouses are organized and cleanCheck grounds and parking lots to ensure that proper maintenance has been performed. 
  • Wash, check fluids, fuel, vacuum, and schedule tune-ups, and repairs, for company pool cars as needed. 
  • Receive, login, and deliver all products and goods, package mail or UPS items for delivery (to our outside offices) or mailing, and receive UPS, FedEx, Office Depot, Amazon, etc. and deliver to Supply and Mailroom. 
  • Identify, innovate, and suggest new procedures, and/or opportunities to streamline Department practicesMake recommendations, and implement procedural changes as directed. 
  • Maintain orderly and accessible records and perform filing/purging tasks according to Department procedures. 
  • As directed, perform special assignments and assist with special projects as requested. 

 


 

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities:  

  • Provide focused customer service to each employee you come into contact with.

Education and Experience: 

  • Previous experience with basic construction methods and equipment maintenance. 
  • High School diploma or technical school training with equivalent mechanical experience. 
  • Basic carpentry and painting, basic-to-intermediate level mechanical skills, attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Working knowledge of building maintenance systems and services required to maintain. 
  • Ability to safely use/operate hand tools, power tools, air, electric or hydraulic toolsMay be requested to operate general or specialized equipment. 
  • Read and interpret machinery repair and service manuals. 
  • Complete necessary paperwork or computer generated work orders accurately and in a timely manner. 
  • Must adhere to and comply with all safety regulations while performing all work. 
  • Entry-level proficiency with computer systems and basic software. 
  • Responsible for results of all work as it relates to customer feedback, responsiveness, accuracy and outcomes. 
  • Proficient organizational and time-management skills; effective interpersonal, written/verbal/listening communication skills. 
  • Meet requirements for after-hours, on-call and weekend work as necessary. 
  • Demonstrate ability to adhere to schedule and attendance requirements and exhibit reliable, dependable work habits. 

 

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. 
  • Ability to be on your feet most of the day. 
  • Ability to safely use ladders. 
  • Ability to work overhead for extended periods.
